I purchased this item for a 2006 Heritage Softail Classic with a Twin Cam 88 engine. It fits perfectly into my oil tank with a snug fit and no leaks. The length is very close to that of the stock dipstick. may fit loosely on some model Softails

oil temp gauge..
the unit is not correct for my bike, even though the chart says it will..having trouble getting a return label...the print out for the label keeps printing a 1 inch square label.. unit looks good & would be easier to read with its' white face...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

My bike did not come with an oil temperature gauge so I bought this one. It works! My Harley requires 4 in dip stick and the proper OD cap. This one fits the Bill perfectly. Fit my Triumph Rocket 3 touring
Fit is just a little more snug than the OEM oil cap (a good thing). The dip stick is longer than the stock, so I will scribe a line on this to match with the original. If you would like to check the oil temp once in awhile, this will do it. Don't try while riding! It's out of sight while sitting/ riding.
