    A Wonderful Receiver!

    The Realistic STA-2080 is one of the best receivers I've owned, and I 've owned most of the major brands. Built like a tank, and with around 85 watts per channel, it's hard to beat. I got this particular unit as a project, unsure of its condition, and was pleasantly surprised. After replacing the Bass control pot (the shaft was broken, but it still worked) and some cleaning and tweaking, it works beautifully! I'm thrilled with this purchase. A pair of Mach One speakers sound incredible with it. If you have the opportunity to pick up an STA-2080, go for it! Unless it's been molested or abused, it's an impressive receiver.

    Nice Vintage Receiver

    This item was rated fair condition, but I think that was understated. It needed a good cleaning, but everything worked and I felt the price was fair for the shipping being included. Realistic Receivers werent the most popular. That was Pioneer, Marantz, Sansui. But I think these vintage receivers are sleepers. 80w per channel. Good FM reception. The thing sounds great for its age. Doing a cleaning, and analysis on the power supply and components.

    My STA-2080 loves me!

    I had this receiver before I lost it in a Tornado in Hamden CT back in 1989. it is nice to have it again in 2021! This receiver has the punch for good sound without distortion and at a great price. (for those that are Beasts, it has final output jacks for another higher Power Amplifier of choice! I am happy with it just the way it is.
