Quality furniture that looks great with OK heat.
We're overall happy with this heater but you need to have realistic expectations. Heating 1,800 sq feet? That's beyond optomistic, it's absurd. We set it up in our 25x15 living room and it can warm up that area if you leave it on for half the day. I probably would have been upset if I paid full retail and expected it to heat the entire 2,000 sq ft home. With that said, I paid roughly $120 for this unit refurbished (looks and acts good as new) and still thinks it's well worth it. Quality: It's well built and a solid piece of furniture. Looks great but when you get it beware!!!
I bought this heater thinking it would produce enough heat to atleast heat my living room which isn't to big but nope still cold it does look cool while it's on I will say that and also when I bought it, it arrived damaged now the company did offer me a partial refund which I got back part of my money but only because I've been through these situations before where you send an item back everyone drags their feet you wait forever to fix the initial problem so I just said ok and went with it but my honest opinion I would not buy another one not really worth it in my opinion.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

great fireplace
I have been heating with a corn heater. I really like the corn heater, but I am on o2 now and at times you have to open the door on the corn heater and you have an open flame. Open flame and o2 does nit work well with each other. I do have a 24000 ac with 18000 heat pump. that I do turn on if it is real cold just to take the chill out of the room. The description says this will heat up to 1800 sq ft. I didn't really expect to do that to be honest. 1800 sq. ft is a fairly large house. But this won't heat my small living room !. I bought the fireplace/heater for my daughter for Christmas. They loved it right off. Then they plugged it in and were more amazed by the way it heated their living room. Though it has not been very cold here,yet, they expect it to be a big help on their heating bill this year, They also like the ambiance and glow it gives the room.
