The heater is defective. The burner lights with the red safety cutoff compressed, dies when the cutoff is released.
I've had experience with these units from other manufacturers, so I expected no problems. I left it in the box until the weather cooled. But when I connected it to a propane bottle and attempted to light it I found the thermostat, or the safety cutoff switch is defective The heater lights, becomes red hot, but no matter how long the button is held in, when it is released the flames die. Re-pressing the button will start it again if the grid is still hot enough to ignite it, but then it dies again when the button is released.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
