This pilot jet is .010 clearance from the factory, verified with a caliper. For what ever reason, if you dropped the original jet and lost it, or cleaned out the original with a too large bit, like I did, this pilot jet will fix the idle problem in your generator. Honda 2000 generator surge and idled ruff
I tried to clean the old one with carb cleaner then a torch prick finally a small drill bit all three steps had same result but a little better . Finally I drilled the hole a little bit bigger and the surge went away but the idle was running just a little bit ruff not much . With that being said the tolerance in that hole is so small that it has to be perfect . I put the new one in and my generator runs perfect . My generator is 19 years old I run it four days straight to power my cabin multiple times during the hunting season and this is the first issue I have ever had with my generator. I do change my oil with Castrol 10w30 SJ approved and 89 octane with star tron Ethel shield .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
