The first half of the movie will enchant you.
Movies are of course subjective. This movie appeals to me on my highest artistic level. The colors, the sets, the costumes, the music and of course the cast - everything finely combined perfectly. Powell and Pressburger created a masterpiece and give truth to the phrase "They don't make them like this anymore". The seventeen (?) minute dance scene with all that was going on is actually stunning.
