Light coats on shiny metal base. Can not stress this enough. If you want it to look like a anodized piece of aluminum then you must either be on shiny chrome or use the metal base coat. This is a tint color that takes a lot of coats to get the look you want. Light coats on metal base coat is the only way it will work. People who can't seem to follow directions are the ones that are doomed to fail. Trust me this is a 2 part paint, no difference than doing a candy paint. where you must apply over a metal base. Unlike candy that can go over gold silver or copper base this needs the Dupli-color metal base first. Sorry I don't have any pics of the red on my computer but I do have the blue. I painted the stem/neck of this Robinson and it looks anodized so well that my friends thought I sent it out to be done. Thin coats, and you will get the results you want.
