Useful and portable device, but the previous models were better. Save your cash.
I bought this air compressor as I had owned the previous model (Michelin 12259) for a number of years and was happy with it. The product functions well and its a great item to keep in your vehicle (especially for those of us without garages!) but there are some features (or lack of) that I just can't justify for the price. Mainly, the detachable digital gauge is but a gimmick. I tested it by checking the air pressure of my car's tyres with it and after with the whole device...the detachable gauge was highly inaccurate, reading 0.5 BAR units below what the tyres actually had. Additionally, using the detachable gauge will deflate the tyre when applying pressure, whereas if you use the main gauge (blue cable) it does not unless you specifically wnat it to (by pressing the release valve). The other major issue with the product is that, unlike its previous model, it does NOT allow you to digitally set a pressure limit when inflating - so that the gauge will stop inflating after it reaches the designated pressure. This means that you have to babysit it and manually turn it off when it reads the pressure you need or risk over-inflating your tyres. A big oversight. Overall, I would suggest buying the earlier models as they are the same but (in my opinion) better.
