Informative and entertaining documentary
The Trail of Tears as an event is loosely known but this docudrama takes the viewer back to the proud history of the Cherokee Nation and illustrates through drama and interviews how the Trail of Tears was conceived and the effects of this cruel displacement of a people group. This documentary is a real keeper. One that should be shared in schools. So much of our American history is glossed over or misrepresented. We must not forget our history so we, as a nation, can strive to not repeat our poor judgments of the past. The Trail of Tears is well depicted, well documented, and well produced.
