If you like Basil Rathbone's Sherlock Holmes, you'll love this Warren William gem
Excellent 1940's B-movie. If you like the old Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes films of the era, you'll love this film. Many of the same supporting character actors from the Rathbone films are in this movie. Warren William make an excellent "Sherlock-type" crime solver (known as "The Lone Wolf") in this film which takes place in World War II London. Unfortunately, the dvd is apparently out-of-print but new and used copies can still be found for sale on-line. The film also occasionally shows up on television on Turner Classic Movies.
