Tampering with life and death, Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive) pieces together salvaged body parts to bring a human monster to life.

  • A historic masterpeice

Oh man…this is a masterpiece in its own right. As far as horror films go, I used to prefer Night of the Living Dead but this film changed my mind. From a historical perspective, this film is much older and the value is tremendous. I just happen to prefer classic films while NOTLD was made more recently at the time when black-and-white film was still a trend in filmmaking. This gem makes a good work of cinema rather than mere film and I prefer to watch this over what society is producing right now. To me, the older a work, the more significant it is. Don’t worry, this is a subjective opinion of mine. I really like classic films myself. I sure am glad to have picked up from Universal’s back catalouge as well as read the novel by Mary Shelly. The sequel not so much, but that’s just me. See that review for details.
