My Ruger SR9E shoots to the left. Always has. I could see the front sight was off-center to the right. It wouldn't budge. I ordered this sight pusher to fix it. It looks simple but it was actually very picky to get set up. Also, it took an amazing amount of force to move the front sight, even using a socket wrench for leverage. I had to clamp the sight pusher in my bench vice because I wasn't strong enough to hold it still. I thought sure either the sight or the sight pusher would break under the stress, but the sight eventually moved. I was able to center it on the slide. This is a cheap solution that actually worked. If you adjust/replace gun sights a couple of times a year, get this. If you are a serious hobbyist or a pro who tinkers with sights often, get something better.

The item is made primarily of aluminum and not steel as the auction page states. It is not strong enough for tight fitting of iron sights and bends or breaks with use. In addition to this, when installing the new sight, the pusher block cannot move out enough to free space for the new sight which starts from the side. One can tell that from the pictures. You need to hammer the sight yourself half way in first. Then hammering expensive tritium sights is a no-no. Lastly, it would have been very useful to have a lever at the end of the sight pusher shaft as opposed to a nut which necessitates an extra ratchet or wrench key.

The wedge driver/ pusher is soft. It deformed and “rode up” on the sight shoulder. This is a tolerance issue. It’s well built, except for the aforementioned.
