Bought this to switch between my Suunto Traverse Alpha for when I felt like a change. It turns out to be way better than my Suunto and I haven't worn the Alpha since this arrived. If you want a smart watch but dont need the colour screen or you don't want to be a apple fanboy, this watch does it all. I get all my notifications. I can choose to answer my phone or not when it's in my pocket. Heart rate monitoring, monitors your steps per day. I can check the weather on it and it has a barometric pressure storm alarm. GPS with compass, barometer and altimeter. Comfortable strap, great battery life for what I use it for.I opted for coyote tan instead of black for a change. Most of my watches have been black. I might buy a black one once I sell the Alpha but I want orange straps for it and this brings me up to the only gripe I have. It appears that Garmin are a little loose with watch strap sizing. I enquired to a company about an orange silicone strap and they stated will not fit on Garmins. This was from a US maker of silicone straps. The rub is, Garmin want $50 for a strap?? It's a fantastic bit of kit though.Read full review

This is a great watch. Records workouts, sleep, provides weather alerts and is a smartwatch that has a two week battery life. I went 10 days before I chose to recharge it and it still had 2 bars out of 5 on the battery icon. It recorded a bike ride, provided multiple details (distance, elevation change, heart rate, etc.) and a map of the ride on my phone. I am enjoying using this watch immensely.

Very comfortable and the battery life is longer than expected. It takes a while to learn to navigate the menu but worth every dollar. I've owned Sunnto, Casio pro-treks and this is a winner!

Great CONCEPT item, but thousands of these fail SP02 LED sensors and have to be returned to Garmin (If it's still under warranty) - Just read the complaints online. Also, barometric / altitude sensor is flush with skin surface at wrist, blocking off readings, unlike the Casio ABC watches. Third big problem - Garmin Express is downloadable online to register watch and update, etc...But it doesn't open! These watches unfortunately are an abysmal failure due to bad design. I own four new ones (less than a year old - One SP02 failed; the others get blocked from altitude / barometric readings (as stated); Garmin Express can't be used for any (and all) of these. Garmin is unresponsive to fix their software online. These watches appear to many to be a five star design, because they are clueless about these problems.Read full review

Pretty cool watch. Lots and lots of features but mainly purchased for all of the HALO/HAHO jumps I do ... LOL.
