I've been working in EMS for seven years, and so I've used dozens of different kinds of pulse oximeters in both clinical and first response situations. I alway recommend Zacurate oximeters because of their reliability and precision, and the speed at which they're able to acquire a 1st reading. This is the first time I've ever been able to use the new 430DL oximeter, and let me say that simply it blows all of the others out of the water. In terms of precision, this consistently read within +/- 1% SpO2 and +/- 2 bpm of the "medical grade" oximeter built into our $26,000 cardiac monitor/defibrillators. What's more is it could actually get reliable readings more times on patients with fake nails or nailpolish, which our medical unit struggles with. I didn't even have to turn the pulse ox sideways like often is required. The OLED display is simple and the wide variety of pleythsmograph options (bar, wave, and line) are very welcome not really as a diagnostic aid (not enough resolution) but to see the quality and consistency of the readings, which helps give me good peace of mind that the readings are accurate and reliable. I always struggle with the basic "LED segment displays" because there's no assurance that the pulse ox is getting a "good" read. Battery life is great, and one of my favorite things is the adjustable brightness (and NOT dozens of other "settings" like some oximeters have, which are totally useless and needlessly complicated for something that should JUST WORK, which this unit does). Also the included black case, and silicone sleeve are a nice bonus. I never use the lanyards on these things because they're just another thing to clean between patients.Read full review

The Zacurate 430DL is the second Oximeter for our family. After loving the first ZacUrate device, I got this one for my 80 year old Mother-In-Law who is on different meds that affect her heart rate. Like other reviews have mentioned, it is one awesome health tool and performance is second to none. Love the different viewing angles so no matter if you, or someone else, is operating it, it is very easy to read. Being able to see the visual representation of your pulse rate is a feature you don't find in a lot of oximeters at this price point and is pretty cool. While it comes with a handy lanyard, I recommend using the case for protecting the device from potential scratches and such.

It has 6 different modes to view. 2 are with wave. Medical, laundry people, exercise minded. Caregivers or patients can use this. It can tell you your oxygen perfusion for exercise, COPD, asthmatic, etc. It can show you an irregular rhythm for cardiac patients. It also shows you heart rate. It has different modes of brightness. It comes with a case and lanyard for extra protection. Easy to read. It is a tool that can be used as an aide to health. I recommend it for everyone, it is easy to use and learn.

This pulse oximeter is wonderful. It is very accurate as I tested it against another one I own that is reliable. This unit comes with a nice silicone/rubber exterior cover that is removable as well as a heavy duty woven canvas case, and a lanyard. This is a great deal to get all of these items for this price. The unit also allows you to easily shift the direction that you see the readings and also shows a graph of the heartbeat so you can see the accuracy. I am very happy.
