    For the pro.

Your productivity will greatly increase. Be sure to read the manual all the way through before using, because it has an unorthadox vise adjustment. This machine is manufactured by Tecomec in Italy, and branded for Oregon.

  • Top critical review

Too light for industrial or job-shop duty, but just right for the individual with farm and cord wood work..

Good: Delivery on time. Adjustable angles and stops to match any saw chain sharpening spec. Structure is strong enough to prevent deflection when grinding-resulting in very sharp cutting edge. Includes set up for grinding rider height. Adequate power, low vibration. Not so good: Instructions are okay, could be better. #72 chain data does not match Oregon square chisel skip tooth grind shown on box, (even though this grinder is supplied through same company?). Max. tilt from vertical is 45 degrees, but scale goes to 40. Just enough tilt to match the Oregon square chisel tooth profile. Profiling 1/4" grinding wheel for rider set up is a very slow process.

  • Awesome grinder

This is a great tool! It does a fantastic job on chains. It is made by Tecomec and their Laser 47320 Supper Jolly is the same item, so price around. But either tool is a great buy! I highly recommend a wall mout, spaced off the wall on a 2x6 or a 4x4. It is much easier to use closer to eye level. Mine is 46 inches off the ground.

  • Saves time and money in the long term

This product is well made and should provide quality results over the long term. The one suggestion I would recommend is in regard to the grinding wheels provided with the unit. Do not use these but rather spend the extra dollars and replace with CBN plated wheels. I can not believe the difference in the finished product with respect to performance and the duration of use as well before chain needed resharpening.

  • Shiny

It seems to be a good product, although the htdraulic clynder leaks slightly and the hose from it to the chain clamp binds on the carriage. (I used a zip tie to keep it pined out of the way) I also ordered a CBN wheel for my 3/8 pitch chain. Only had it a week and used it once, seems not to difficult to mount and setup for first chain, about an hour in my case. (retired machinist so I've ground and set angles a few times)

  • Oregon 620-120

VERY happy with this product so far. Easy set up. I was able to set it up and adjust all of the angles and was sharpening chains within a half hour. I would like to see more data (proper angles) for other chains (only has Oregon data) and a brighter light would be helpful.

  • Top quality chain saw sharpener

This is an excellent chain saw sharpener - much better than the inexpensive ones I've used in the past. The motor runs quietly and smoothly and it never bogs when grinding the chain. If you're careful and only use short "chirps" on the tooth, it won't overheat the metal, but that's definitely a risk with the vitrified wheels that come with it. Oregon provides excellent tutorial videos and there are many other videos available from users online. The results with this sharpener are much better than I've been able to get in the past with less expensive units, and the 1/4" wheel makes grinding the rakers super easy and much faster than doing it by hand with a file.

  • Great value, easy to operate

Easy to set up and operates easily giving uniform sharpness to each chain. Chains go through freshly fells trees like a knife through warm butter. I highly recommend.

  • So far it's a fancy piece of junk I hope I can use ...

It looked fine until I started to assemble it. The plastic pieces were twisted into place and did not fit well. I had to drill out all the holes to make them fit. The access hole to hold the shaft still while you tighten the grinding wheel bolt was 1/2 in off location and had to be redrilled. The two bolts holding the chain guide together were over tightened so bad the bolts were stripped and now need to be ground off and replaced and I still haven't gotten it running to see if it will grind yet.
