For the "rocket scientiest" in your life, this was absolutely the perfect Birthday gift for my 24yo son. The pieces are adorable. The slight drawback was the foundation of the pieces. The moon broke off the base easily. And it was difficult to see the color differentiation for both sides of the chess game. One side is white/black. But the bases were slightly covered by the pieces.
