Power through Wood sculpting projects
This is a great grinder. l especially like the variable speed for power carving wood. For a beginner like myself the slower speeds were far less intimidating and yet the machine seemed to handle all tasks well. My first project was to grind out a bowl from 2X4's hastily glued together to test the grinder. photo below shows what I accomplished in 15 minutes. all in all I was very pleased with the progress.

You can't beat Bosch for quality & durability...however the newer style paddle swith is a pain to use
I've used and abused another similar Bosch angle grinder for over 20 years. Amazing durability. However, this new one is annoyingly difficult to activate the safety paddle switch to turn it on. You must really grip it hard and press in the right area. Maybe it will get easier over time, but it certainly taints an otherwise awesome product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Feels AWESOME, Performs even Better.
Cuts through material like butter. I love this tool. Its trigger safety favors the right hand and its lower two fingers, though furthering your hand from the wheel can remedy this. Left hand on the body is still an operable position. The tool feels well balanced and in control. The added shock absorber in the positional handle is nice however often unnecessary. Great quality, heavy duty
Normally I avoid refurbished tools because thy usually have a design defect the makes them unusable, however, I have several Bosh tools and all are excellent quality made either in Germany or Switzerland. I needed a variable speed grinder to use as a sander to remove paint from metal but don't use it very often so I took a chance on a refurbished one. Works great! Saved about half of the regular purchase price. This one is made in Germany.
