Great little vac
Bought this as a gift and got one for myself given the insane price. I haven't used other robovacs, but this one was pretty easy to set up and get running right away. We keep it at its docking station in the corner of the hallway and set it to run over carpet and wood floors while at work. I had worries at first of it transitioning from wood to carpet, but it seems to do so without much trouble. Only issue is that we have to remember to clear floors of cords, shoestrings, or anything it might suck up and get stuck on. Hasn't happened yet, but we take that precaution when running it while at work. Sometimes it has some issues finding the docking station, but for the price, this is well worth the cost! Time waster, not a time saver - like owning a Model A Ford as a daily driver
I'd previously left a 4 star rating, but after owning the product for a few months it's marginal design and constant maintenance demands have surfaced. Be prepared to clean all moving parts (including brush axles) before each use.The other difficulty is the overall height is a bit too tall or too short, as it wedges itself under my cabinet overhang or bed rail and gets stuck. The "dumb" programming also gets confused in tight spaces, so it'll take 1/3 of the battery charge to get itself out a corner or under a bed, otherwise it gets frustrated and goes into error mode requiring manual restart. B&D Robo Vac
After a full charging it vacumed four rooms and ran for a little over an hour before going back to the charger. Does not work well on carpet with fringed edges. Does great on floors. Carpet cleaning is average, a good vacum for in between deep cleaning. LED lights are colorful. and help finding it when it gets hung. Large dirt container is a plus. Noise level is average. Works as Expected
This vacuum works in every way we hoped it would. Got it mainly for our laminate floors and does a great job keeping the floor clean. Finds the charging dock fine. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the inefficient cleaning algorithm it used when on "Auto-clean" mode. Takes ~20 min to clean a room that would normally take <5 min. Love my Black & Decker Robot Vac
I love my new robot vac. The vac does an excellent job of cleaning and transitioning from hardwood, to carpet, and to tile. I really appreciate the large dust bin. I owned another robot vac and the dust bin was noticeably smaller. The app for the vac is easy to use and allows me to customize the LED top to my style. The kids really like that they can remote control the robot through the phone app. It is like having the slowest remote control car ever. Battery life is great and I have the vac set on a schedule to clean while I am at work. The vac does a great job of keeping the floors clean and eliminates most of what I used to do with a broom and vacuum. The price was significantly less than other competitive vacs, and the shipping was super quick. Dusty the Robot
We do like our robot but have some issues with it. I had to take the side brushes off because they were getting tangled in the main brush when on the carpet. It has trouble finding home but is getting better so I think that is part of its learning procedure. I gave it a 4 because we do like it and the dust bin is a good size and very easy to empty. Good little vacuum
My vac is easy to use. The only thing I don't love is that you can't pre-program it where to go and where not too which makes the vacuum cycles quite random. It took me three months to get replacement parts from China. The dust brushes get bent really easy and then they are useless. The repl. price was o.k. but every other part locater in the U.S. did not list this particular Robot part number so I had no choice. My new best friend
This little thing is awesome! I have several dogs and of course they shed, not to mention the dirt and grass they track in. However I never realized how much hair I was missing just vacuuming and sweeping a few times a week. I run this vac each morning til it runs out of charge and each day it picks up a 1/2 of it's container full of debris, and hair, and it has a good size dust bin compared to others I've seen.
