  • Worth it for the price.

Let me start off by saying this product would have received 5 stars if the connection from the TPS to the wires were more secure. Truck: 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 cummins 5.9L Error code: P0122 (Low TPS voltage) I decided to give this TPS a shot because I've replaced it once before for $190. I wanted to see how much different they were. The installation is only different in that the voltage is NOT adjustable. The set screw holes in the old TPS are oblong shape to allow for rotation of the TPS to increase/decrease the amount of voltage at rest. It is recomended to have .600 volts at rest. This one has a resting voltage of .620, so I'm ok with that. What I'm not ok with is the connector strength from the TPS to their added wire loom. The added loom does 2 things: 1. It changes from the 6 blades in one line (TPS side) to the 6 pin in 2 lines in order to plug into the factory connector. 2. Adds a little more room for working/testing. Because of the cheap plastic, the connection was not secure when I first installed it. I only noticed because I was not getting a correct reading from my volt meter. I doubled checked the connection and found it to not be secure. There was too much "play" in the connector that allowed it to loose connection. I wrapped the adapter and TPS with electrical tape to help secure the connection. Once I did that my reading was correct after install. The check engine light is off, the truck idles smooth, and overall I'm happy with the product. I didn't expect it to have an issue with the connector, but that's also the price you pay for a less than $20 TPS.

  • Dodge Cummins TPS

Was unsure of quality because of the great price. But compared to the local parts store asking almost $300 for the same part I figured would take the $20 gamble. So if this is what your asking yourself then I would not hesitate to purchase this part. Took me a whopping 20 min to remove the old and install the new TPS sensor. Plugged into the harness tightly and perfectly. Truck runs perfect. Sensor is 100% doing its job. Holding the TPS sensor in my hand compared to the factory TPS I can tell it is made out of lighter components. The Factory sensor feels much more heavy. My only concern is, how long will this cheaper version truly last? All I know is it’s working great for the time being so even if I had to buy 4 of these sensors at $20 it would still be worth it compared to $300

  • Dead pedal fix, tps

Fixed the Cummins dead pedal issue. Not bad for 15 min. time and $20. Several 12 mm bolts and a couple Torch screws. Unplug the old tps, plug in the new tps and harness adapter. Just make sure you get the tps slot seated correctly before you install the torx screws. No need to disconnect the throttle or kickdown cable/linkage. Very simple repair.

  • No adjustment, engine light on.

Did fit my 02 Cummins with the adapter, but can't adjust it like the original due to round mount holes, not slotted like original. Check engine light stayed on. A new unit like the original fixed my issue.

  • This is not the right part

This part is only for 1998 through 2004. This will not work for a 2005 or 2006. They do not have TPS. They have a APPS. Other known as acceleration pedal position sensor it's the whole pedal assembly under your dash.
