The only shocks I use
I have this on my 4x4 VXL 3S Traxxas Stampede, Slash and Rustler, but I use the 80 weight shock oil instead of the stock 30. It can take on hard bashing on skate, bike and snow parks with big jumps. Plastic shocks are garbage and waste of money to repair. I'm glad I've never used them. My friends converted to Traxxas Big Bore Shocks and they are very happy.

Myth Busted
Beware buyers: These so called 'Big Bore' shocks do not meet expectations they perform less well than standard Ultra Shocks the springs are weak not progressive. Nothing works out the box and they are a weird smaller size so I was puzzled. The final result is: Scrap the 'big bore' springs and all clips, use the Ultra shock upgraded 20% Blue springs and retainers they are bigger diameter but ok, and fill with 45wt oil. They are now perfect!

Great Shocks!
Very good upgrade for your Slash or whatever else these shocks will fit. The benefits of these shocks include. Longer service life, stronger shock bodies and shafts and scratch resistant coating applied to the shock shaft. This prevents the o-rings from being torn and causing the oil to leak out. Performance wise the bigbore shocks are similar to the stock Ultra shocks but with stronger parts and reduced friction. Also one thing to note is the included progressive rate springs are stiffer then the stock Slash progressive rate springs. This results in better cornering while preserving the slashes scale looks with regards to body role and suspension movement. Overall these are a very nice set of quality shocks from Traxxas.

Great shocks seem to hold up well but a little disappointed that the bodies on the outside or actually smaller diameter than the ultra shocks. So it's not able to use my Springs. The springs are a little weak as far as I'm concerned they could be better.

Not worth the price
Unfortunately they are softer then the originals so my RC car is squirrelly. It dips forward and reverse more now. They Smaller in size. Then have held up the abuse of myself and my 11 yr old. All and all not impressed at all. Will be searching for a better option.
