Convenience and have to believe it will save the life of your Dust Collector's Switch.
Does just what it says, lets me start my dust collector with a push of a button from a far distance away in my shop which makes things very convenient for me. Also saves the wear and tear on the Dust Collectors switch from having to keep pushing it on and off. Be observant to order the correct model. This one is for 110v with a normal outlet plug but there is a 220v model with the "unique" plug that doesn't fit a standard outlet.
