No back pain
I've had a heavy duty North hydraulic throne for 35 years. Very thick seat, obviously some smashing after all these years. I recently started gigging again and my back would be sore after practicing for an hour or so. I assumed I was out of playing shape. New Year's Eve my band was the first band playing, so the 2nd band set up and I used their equipment. The drummer had one of these thrones and after a 90 minute set no back pain at all. Awesome, just awesome..
I hardly ever leave reviews, but this throne is absolutely the best. I'm learning drums, and the previous throne was killing me. I realized very quickly I needed a new one, and that spending a little more money was important aspect. I researched and found this throne to be highly regarded in many categories. So, I purchased it. OMG what a difference. This thing is big first off, has hydraulics that easily raise of lower you, and it goes pretty high. Great For Guitar Too
This seat is solid from the chrome folding base to the seat and optional back and foot pegs. I received the nitro seat as a birthday present and added the aforementioned accessories and USA made carrying bag. I found it helps me tip the guitar in just the right position for more enjoyable playing and less body fatigue. It's a breeze to adjust the height and it fits perfectly in our small office for practice sessions. Nice chair but a bit expensive
I bought the seat with the backrest. It is a good chair but cost $263 all in. My last stool cost $50 back in 1978, so I guess it’s all relative. I like that it’s made in America. It is fairly comfortable. We will need to see how it holds up. I don’t travel too much as a drummer, so it won’t get banged up. I had wanted to buy the carrying bag for it but it’s over a hundred bucks and the backrest won’t fit in it? Overall an OK chair.

Top draw but expensive
