A very excellent finish sander
To do finish sanding, this sander is excellent. It is easy to handle and to change sand paper. One thing I love about Porter Cable products is the flexible rubber power cord. Other manufacturers use plastic power cords which keep getting in the way of my working.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Has some shortcomings.
After burning up a cheap sander from Harbor Freight thought it best to dig deeper for a good one. This one does all you want as far as sanding but: The switch is awkward to work especially with gloves. Dust bag is about useless. Holding clamps don't rotate far enough up to easily change sandpaper. This thing has a powerful motor & I sometimes put loads of pressure on it but it still keeps digging so I like it overall. Porter Cable and Dewalt have Identical internal parts, Good Quality.. Saves you Money

Perfect to get the job done.
This sander works great and is the best palm sander I have ever owned. It comes with a hole punching base plate that puts holes in the sand paper so the sander will vacuum up the dust. I like that feature a lot. Using only 1/4 piece of sand paper is perfect for this sander and of course saves money.
