I replaced a lesser model of Aurora that stopped working after a few years so I already had the Aurora waste basket. This model is rated as a 6 sheet shredder; but, it really struggles with 6 high quality paper sheets. 5 sheets and under works great. I am a light user. and It does the job needed. Simple controls, adequate capacity, and easy to use. I know there are better machines, but not many at or near the price. Why just three stars? In my view it would be a five star device among it somewhat similar peers, but it is an average machine, which is what was needed, and is a good thing, so I rated it average. Highly Recommended - Very good shredder.
I bought one of these ten years ago at a big box retailer. I used for those ten years before it finally stopped working 3 weeks ago. I bought another one because it is so sturdy and dependable that I can't see buying any other type of shredder. And, you can place it atop any size size basket because it is adjustable. That means you can use a much larger waste basket and hold a lot more than those smaller, all in one units that cost over $100.00.
