Bringing old free hubs back to life.
Like all things from Phil Wood this is a quality product. My free hubs are getting old, and research advised me to clean out the old old and add new fresh oil. So far I have done one hud, and it showed improvement. I'm looking forward to working on more of these in the future. Excellent for bearings and any other surface that generates friction that doesn't require a grease pack. This oil is very high viscosity .... however will flow into cracks a crevices to lubricate some of those hard to get to places....and will retain its lubricity for quite a while. Best lubricant ever!
This is my second bottle in 35 years. Hadn't needed any oil or lubricant in a while. I hadn't been riding my as much. December 2014 I had bi-lateral hip surgery. (Both hips replaced) Started putting on more mile per week (125) recently. My bike chain was stiff and noisy. i tried silicone and a tri-flow, the noise would go away for about 15 miles and then start again. The chain seem to stiffen back up. When the Phil's came I just put a bead of it on the chain while I turn it. Wiped off the excess, which wasn't much. And now after 245 miles, not a squeak and the chain is not stiff.
