Keep your hood up safely, easily and elegantly and with OEM MOPAR parts
Incredibly simple and intuitive to install (in fact the instructions were more confusing than just looking at the parts and seeing where they went). On my Magnum there were existing pre-drilled and threaded holes to install the lower ball swivel (which is included in the kit) and the top ball swivel is part of the existing hood hinge. You then have to just install the struts (one specifically for the right side and one specifically for the left side) and presto you have a hood that when opened goes up and stays up by itself. It does not open quite as far as when you use the hood prop rod BUT it is a heck of a lot more stable (and in my opinion) a heck of a lot safer than using that somewhat flimsy hood prop rod. AND it is original equipment MOPAR parts.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Helping hand.
Items came as described and sooner then expected. Great price for OEM hood struts. I opted to leave the stock hood prop in its place as a back-up. Just me that’s all but would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good replacement part for sure.

No more prop rod!
This kit is so easy! Buy it, install the studs on the inner wheel wells and connect the gas struts. Within ten minutes my Charger no longer needed a hood prop rod.
