2.8L CRD fuel filter assembly.
A perfect fit for my 2006 Jeep Liberty 2,8L CRD. No problems noted. However, the fuel filter was screwed on too tight. Had to use an oil filter removal tool to loosen it up...... in preparation for future fuel filter changes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This IS the updated filter head for the Liberty CRD. It does not come with plug conversion.
I bought this unit for my 2005 Liberty CRD. This IS the "upgraded" unit (heating element in the unit sold with the Jeep is prone to shorting and causing fires...just one of the many ways Chrysler cut corners on these vehicles). Note however, this unit DIDN'T come with the wiring pigtails required to power it. The 2 power connectors on the filter head are differently shaped than the 2 connectors that plug into the original unit, and the complete replacement kit comes with 2 new pigtails that you solder or crimp in place of the factory wiring. This didn't affect my install though because my Liberty already had the upgraded unit on it, complete with wiring modification. I replaced mine because it had begun leaking fuel after I completed the in-tank lift pump modification (another of the many ways Chrysler cut corners on these vehicles...not including a lift pump **face palm**). The unit came complete with the filter head, filter, and water-in-fuel sensor. If your wiring is already updated for the new connectors, go ahead and get this. If you need to update your wiring for the new plug scheme, make sure your purchase comes with those plugs. FYI, if you already have the updated wiring, the plug on the driver's side of the unit will be larger. If you have the original wiring, the passenger's side plug will be larger.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
