Great value with cool features
The 60x zoom (30x optical) is mindblowing. It can shoot a clear image from 100 feet away. I love the internal memory with SD slot too. It means it can always shoot something, even if you forget to put your SD card in it, but it's also expandable. I thought the projector would be a lame gimmick, but that is surprisingly useful as well. Before buying this, I purchased a Zoom Q8 and GoPro Hero 4 music. The camera is intended to be used for recording music performance. The Zoom had terrible image quality, totally unusable. The GoPro almost blew up after one use, getting so hot I could not touch it and then apparently frying itself as it never turned on again. Both had wide angle lenses that caused fish eye and could not be shut off i.e. there was always edge distortion. So I went back to the drawing board and found this. I'm totally satisfied. The mic is not great, but it's not terrible for amateur video. You can attach a shoe with an upgraded mic though (I use a Zoom H2 but recommend Zoom H6) if you need better sound. Most cameras in this price range do not have a shoe. That was a big selling point for me. Navigating the camera couldn't be easier as well. It has a flip out LCD screen that can also be flipped to face front for self shots and is a touch screen. So you can nagivate the menu from in front of the camera. The Sony HDR-PJ540 Full HD Handycam Camcorder is an excellent value, and I highly recommend it.

Great product Sony handycam projector.
I received it in 2 days very surprised especially during Christmas time. Very easy to use and lightweight quality very good and projector better than I thought brings life to the family when watching home movies instantly anywhere anytime no need to set up any wires or no tv. Worth the price would recommend for anyone. Very happy with purchase.
