Great phone from the Galaxy Series
Great phone!. Easy to use. LOVES to drain the battery quickly. Had to modify what apps had priority etc. initially. Setting it up on the Straight Talk network (APN settings) was a little cumbersome ( I blame my lack of knowledge with that techy stuff) but there are a ton of websites/youtube videos out there that really helped to do it easily. Once the settings were complete, this phone functions great. Bought a better battery for longer talk time and web surfing etc. Always been a Galaxy fan, and they just keep getting better and better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It Would Be Great, If It Was The Same Size As The S4 Mini
Slightly smaller than the S5 Active, so fits most of my pockets. When dropped, the back cover and battery will pop out. Have to always check to make sure back cover and plug cover are tightly in place. But that's the price of convenience over a permanent sealed unit. Big use n compact size
The S4 Active is fantastic! It does exactly what I need it to do in a fast and easy fashion. It's durable and although I am not an athlete, I lead a busy life and this little phone keeps up. I have very small hands, so large-size phones are cumbersome and difficult for me to use with one hand. Not this one! I had an S4 Mini which seemed custom-made for me and this is just as good. The only drawback I can see is the battery life. A longer-lasting battery would have made it perfect. I had my choices of phones, but chose to stay with the S4 series because it has the works of the larger phones without all the bulk.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best phone yet
We really love this user friendly phone. The large screen size is very nice and the phone can still fit in a pocket, We like the hard keys on the bottom of the phone better than the soft ones on the S3. It is easier for fat fingers to select the numerals and program widgets due to their larger size. Sound is clear and loud enough. Pictures are beautiful! This phone was in almost new condition and at a great price! When my 2 yr old phone went kaput, I considered upgrading to a newer version of the Samsung S4 Active but did not want to put out neary $700 for features that did'nt matter to me. I figured if I could find a used phone like the one I had and could just switch out the memory and ime cards. This worked out great for me at a fraction of the cost of a new phone. Got a Bad One
Really liked my 1st one! It died on a backpacking trip. Supposed to be waterproof but turned out not to be rainproof. And that meant: no camera, no GPS, no weather forecasts, no communications... But I liked it for its size/form factor. So I ordered this, as a back-up, when I got a new S5 (better battery life, maybe rainproof?). But when I finally got around to putting in my SIM and reloading contacts and programs it started telling me 'SIM card removed'. It was not. Seems that this is not unusual with the S4. Awesome Deal!
I have owned the same model before, but I had to replace it after some time. Since my phone company no longer offers free upgrades, I had to start searching for deals. I did not want to settle for a used phone, because I had no idea what I would get, but $100 for a Samsung Galaxy is unbeatable; so I thought that I would try it with free returns offered. The phone arrived about a day late, but I was not expecting a like new phone! The only scratches that I found are on the back cover; they are barely noticeable, and get covered by a case anyway. I like the phone except for the keypad. Sometimes the keypad letters will not work and then they will jump to the second or third position when it prints. Then I have to backspace and hit the key harder just to get it to work. This is the only problem that I have found so far. It is hard to write a Text when you have to use a T or a couple of other letters. At best, this was a bad phone. At worst, a foreign knock off. Avoid seller EDWINLION version of this phone!!!!
After refusing to pay over $600 for a phone, I decided to get (what I hoped would be) an exact replacement for my Galaxy S4 Active. My phone had last several years with ZERO issues, but suddenly developed issues sending text messages and then the screen just stopped working. All of this happened in about a 2 week period. Seeing this phone here on eBay, I figured I'd give it a shot. That was a mistake... First, I went to 3 different AT&T stores and none of them could get the phone on the AT&T network. I had to call customer support MULTIPLE times before I finally found a tech with enough knowledge to help completely update nearly every setting on the phone in order to get onto the AT&T network. Granted, I had no issues getting on my local network, just the provider network. And even then, once I was able to get on the AT&T network, I couldn't get 4G service. The phone kept showing "H+" as the network connection. As odd as that was, I let it go since at least the phone was working. Well, that ended about a month later. Suddenly the phone started to lose battery consistency. Sometimes a full charge would last 2 days. Other times, less than 12 hours. All of this while the phone was NOT being used! Sometimes after a "full charge", in which the phone was saying 100%, I'd unplug the cable and the battery level would drop as low as 79% immediately. This was then followed up the phone starting to decide to turn itself off if a text came in, or I tried to access an app. And the phone wouldn't turn back on unless I plugged in a power cable. It was not a battery issue, per say, as I was always right about 50% battery level when this little bit of fun would occur. Oh, and I forgot to mention that from the first moment I had the phone there were issues. The power port cover on the phone never quite fit the phone. It was as if it had been removed and somebody tried to jam it back into place unsuccessfully. I eventually had to remove it completely as it would just hang loose and I found that annoying. Everything about this phone screamed "knock off" but I tried to see the good in things. Sadly, that lasted only about 2 months. This phone is a farce. Take my words of warning and be safe or ignore them and caveat emptor. Fortunately I was able to get a new phone for free by switching carriers so my only loss was in buying this piece of non-US made junk. I place part of the blame on myself for trying to save a buck. I place the rest on the seller for selling this junk. The delivery of the phone was the best part. It did come VERY quickly. I just wish the quality of the product was in the same galaxy (pun intended) as the delivery service.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
