Good Product But Beware of Differences Between Sonicare Elite Versions
This was a very economical way of replacing my Sonicare Elite handle. It seems to be durable and it works well. A FEW CAVEATS: 1. I believe this is an early generation Elite. It is stockier than the version I had. The fatter grip might bother folks with particularly small hands. 2. This WILL NOT FIT the charger designed for the slimmer Elite series. Because I'm handy, I was able to grind away some of the plastic cage on my old charger, and add a loop of wire to keep the handle in place. It appears to charge fine. 3. The replacement doesn't have the LED array showing charging progress, but it has a single light that blinks through the on/off button. 4. There's no dedicated button for high-low speed. instead, you press the power button to cycle through the speeds. SEE MY PHOTO to understand how I modified my old charger. NOT an Elite Handle Replacement
It all works, but: The Sonicare folks apparently created a cheap replacement handle that works with the Elite series brush heads. So obviously one would assume the handles also work with the Elite series chargers. Wrong. They cleverly made the handle ever so slightly fatter, so they can also sell you a new charger base. So if you were looking for a cheap way to replace the dead rechargeable battery in your nice Elite series handle, don't look to this cheap handle--it won't work with your existing charger base and it also doesn't have the charge LED indicators on it. The ONLY thing it does is force you to buy a new charger base and then allow you to use your existing brush heads.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

replacing broke down units works great

GOOD REPLACEMENT FOR THE ORIGINAL
My toothbrush handle gave out and rather than replace the entire product I was able to replace just the part that broke at a fraction of what buying a whole toothbrush would have cost. Phillips had a recall of the original handle and sent me a replacement but they sent me a part for a differnt model. This one works just like the original.
