Keep in mind that this is a 16 year old camera and is only 4mp. Having said that I am really blown away by all the things this camera does including shooting in RAW. It has all the normal shooting modes, white balance control, manual focus and scenes. I am a Nikon shooter and not familiar with Canon products. I intended to buy a basic 4mp camera for a photography class I am taking. This is much more than a basic camera and for a point and shoot...it's loaded. I am very pleased with this camera.
