Right now, my six year old seems to be enjoying this game...however, I can see her getting bored with it in a few more days. The "island" is small and there are not many areas to go to / explore, so it can get boring. You collect white sand dollars to get helium tanks (need 50 for one tank and have to get 10 tanks to win) and gold sand dollars to unlock new character accessories and tree house items. Her favorite areas of play are the Goon Lagoon and the Secret Caverns as she is forced to collect items or beat the Punk Punks while trying to find her way through the areas. The questions on the games start pretty easy, but get harder as you move through the levels. Good educational questions to answer, such as patterns, spelling, counting, math, etc. etc. I do fail to see any educational value in the Egg Push and Fashion Show games. Overall a good game, but I think that JumpStart could have done a better job at expanding it so that it's not so repetitive.Read full review
This game would have been better if the games were not so repetitive. A lot of the games were kind of boring and played all about the same. My daughter played one night and then kind of lost interest in it. The concept was pretty easy to follow, but my daughter who is 8 was not able to do some of the more advanced games.
I purchased this game because my 6-year-old loves the online version of JumpStart. The game resembles the online version, but the control is difficult to use with the game (unlike Pet Rescue, which is easier for my 6-year-old to navigate). I would not have purchased this game if I'd had a chance to use it first.
Very good. Gave it to Grandson as a birthday present. He is enjoying playing with it. Educational to help him learn things as he had fun playing with it
It keeps my grandson entertained for a while but I fail to tecognize much in the way of educational value.
