Socially awkward professor wants to find the perfect mate.
This story starts off very real. I have met many individuals who struggle to say the right thing in social settings and are very awkward. In some regards, it seems like a caricature of people I know. There were times I laughed out loud. This is rare for me. There were some predictable parts in the book but they were overcome by the humor and heart warming story. I found myself looking forward to reading it. I also read Rosie Effect. The first book was more enjoyable because the nuances of Don, the lead character were more of a surprise. This is such a unique story with characters that you will immediately fall in love with b/c of how well the narrative is written. Told from the main charaters POV, a university professor who lives with Asperber's, but who doesn't think he does. It's a story of relationship, connections, and understanding one's self.
