Umm, anybody wanting to buy this needs to know that it is not the xfx radeon r9 290x DOUBLE DISSIPATION, it is the xfx radeon r9 290x CORE EDITION. These are two completely different cards and i did not realize until i had bought this one. This card clocks about the same speed as the DD, but is much more loud/obnoxious and you can't overclock it near as much otherwise overheating seriously comes into play. Cosmetics on this card don't even come close to competing with the double dissipation. I would suggest that if you are going to pay this much for a gpu, then go ahead and pay the $10-$20 extra for the double dissipation. You'll know when you're getting the right card if you order the pretty silver one that has a huge XFX logo across it.
I am gaming at 4K (Just make sure your display has a Display Port if you want 60Hz) and doing it in lower to high settings depending on the title and using less than 3GB of RAM. The card runs around 70C while gaming in a well ventilated case NZXTZ Phantom. It also overclocks well and can easily be taken to near 1100 Mhz while also overclocking the RAM.

Coming from an AMD 7700, this graphics card blew mine away. I initially was shopping for a card capable of freesync as I had recently bought a 4k capable monitor. I was stunned at the quality freesync adds to games. You feel like part of the world. Sadly, this card can't really play games higher than 1080p with high settings and freesync enabled without getting loud. I plan on buying an aftermarket cooling solution for this card.

Still a great GPU in 2019, cant go wrong with these cards, Still runs most if not all games at high settings at 60 FPS. I am getting a stable 60 FPS in every game I try, Like shadow of mordor, crysis 3 ect..
