The OEM Dipstick is fiberglass. Before this Dorman one I bought a replacement that lasted 2 days before snapping. That began my search for a cheaper dispstick with a metal shaft. I have loved this one so far and see no reason it won't last the life of the car.
So a few days after use it broke in 3 places... The 3 bends in the dip stick funnel. So my recommendation would be to spend the extra cash and go with the CravenSpeed flexible stainless steel dipstick as your first and only replacement.
Better than the original dipstick. This one is far easier to pull out, is more flexible, and easy to read the oil level. Feels like good quality. Highly recommended
