1911 parts
I din't know where this guy gets his stuff, but it ALWAYS fits!!!! Maybe just a touch of the stone to tune, or so, but this guy's stuff is great.Makes for EASY builds. Klonimus firing pin kit
I purchased several of these for some builds along with the klonimus extractor. Test fitting of all parts in 4 different slides, including a 5th known good production pistol (Ruger SR1911) shows that the extractor can turn, or 'clock' in the slide excessively. Other pin stops fix this, so the issue appears to be with the pin stop being undersized at the hammer face (see new vs old(worn) picture), allowing the pin stop to move. The overall width of the stop is the same as the 'old'. The only positive to this is that it does drop right in. However, the extractor requires, as expected, fitting anyway, so an oversized pin stop would be much, much better. I can remove material to fit these, but cannot add any. A correctly fitted EGW or similar pin stop fixes the issue but obviously adds unwanted extra cost, making this kit not a good value. I am generally very happy with Klonimus parts and will buy more, but will not purchase more of these firing pin kits unless they become available with an oversized pin stop. The extractors I purchased at the same time seem to work fine and are properly oversized in critical areas for custom fitting or tuning, which must be done.

Not something we usually buy more than once... and it usually comes WITH our 1911-style pistol
BUT... if you ever lose it during a full inspection and cleaning exercise with your 1911, when the compressed spring surprises you and projects it to wherever you cannot locate it, NOTHING else will be a "suitable substitue" for the firing pin stop.
