Yes you have to cut a hole in the plastic that covers the stake pocket. The fit is perfect. The flat braces are a perfect contour over the plastic along the top of the bed. The mounts are heavy duty. I highly recommend. But if you can't cut a hole in the plastic that covers the pocket, these are not for you.
