I bought this pump testing manifold to test my 20 year old suntec oil burner pump on my Beckett AFII burner that is also 20 years old. I have had some intermittent problems with my burner not being able to fire up and did notice that it was the pump. The pump just does not get up to consistent pressure and thanks to this product's versatility I was able to run my oil burner with both the suction and pressure lines hooked up with the knobs turned fully CCW. I could see that the pump was not pulling a vacuum and that there were no noticeable air bubbles in the oil supply line after I bled the pump. However, the pressure reading was slightly below the burner manufacturers settings. I tried cranking up the pressure slightly by turning the pump's pressure adjustment screw CW and instead of the pressure going up and stabilizing, it started going down. According to the pump testing manifold's instructions, this means that the pump is bad. I also tested the cutoff feature as described in the instructions and my pumps cutoff dropped 35-40% which is far more than it was supposed to. Without this manifold I never would have been able to test whether my pump was good or bad. Now I will be looking forward to try and repair or replace it.Read full review

Excellent tool! Great for checking oil pump pressures and seeing if the pump is still good. I would recommend it to any HVAC tech who does oil.
