One new 4-button remote and a transponder chip key blank for Ford vehicles. This is a genuine Strattec OEM 80-bit 4D63 chip key. It is backward compatible with the 40-bit keys. Fits a large number of Ford Cars and SUVs. Check chart. PROGRAMMING: Your vehicle must be equipped with the factory remote keyless entry for the remote to work. The remote can be easily programmed using the included instructions. The key must be cut to match your current key. Many hardware stores or locksmiths can do this for you. In addition, your car must be programmed to recognize the transponder. You can do this yourself provided you already have two working master keys. Easy, do-it-yourself programming procedures are included with purchase. Otherwise a dealer or locksmith with computerized programming equipment hooked up to the car must do it for you.
