Excellent head gaskets
This head gasket kit is very nice to use for a EJ253 head gasket job, plenty of gaskets and O-rings to do the job. If you unbolt the complete intake manifold as a unit to access the heads, you will have a surplus of parts. HOWEVER.. even though you get most seals and gaskets with this kit, there is no front crank seal or rear main seal - things you should do while the engine is out anyway. Will also need the exhaust gasket where the header/converter assembly-to-exhaust pipe comes together as said unit needs to come out. I STRONGLY recommend this kit for a Subaru engine due to having MLS head gaskets as Subaru's single layer head gasket, let alone anyone else's single layer, can't be trusted to last long. I think all Subaru engines should use MLS head gaskets, and these are just as nice as Subaru's STI head gaskets that are also MLS.

Fel Pro gaskets
I know and trust Fel Pro products having used them many times with good results each time. This set had every gasket I needed plus some that I did not think would be included. My engine is running perfectly and not one drop of oil has leaked since I did the job.

Some extra o rings
There are 4 small but thick o rings and 4 square rings that do not fit the Subaru non-turbo fuel injectors but not the square rings that go in between the end o-rings on the injectors. But they are only just dust seals. Everything else fit. I think the extra ones might be for the Saab application.

Fel pro gaskets are the best. I dont trust any other gasket brands. The only thing Iwish this set came with is the gaskets for the valve timing solenoid holder.
