Great outdoor fan
I bought this battery powered misting fan it is wonderful. It fits on top of a 5 gal bucket filled with water with a 2 speed fan and water pump. The fan comes with Ryobi compatible battery and charger I drilled a 1 inch hole in the top of a cheap Wal-Mart ice chest for the hose and add ice along with water to make even colder mist. I recommend this completely for all my friends it sells for 80 bucks at Home depot. It will come in real handy while grilling in the hot afternoon.

"Mist" is not the right word' it's not like misters at outdoor restaurants
It does what it says with one HUGE caveat: it is not a "mister". It does not emit "mist". It has a fine spray of water which will get you wet, and will make the ground beneath it wet. The problem is the spray valves just aren't small enough to make it a mist (and maybe the pump isn't powerful enough to pressurize the water into a mist.) There are no replacement valves and no way to fine tune them. So if you're out by the pool, you can aim this thing at you and it helps cool you down a lot. But if you are dressed, sitting at a table, you and everything will get wet. That's a bummer. Also, doesn't work well in the wind... the spray goes everywhere. So it may or may not work for you. My chickens love it.
I use it in my chicken yard. Temps in OK are now 100 and I have Buff Orpingtons. They have a lot of feathers. When I turn on this fan they stand in front of it with their butts in the air to cool off!

Works as advertised
I've only used it once, but the misting fan works exactly as advertised. The mist can be a little too wet (and I didn't use it on high mist), but other than that it provided a cooling mist with an excellent fan. Easy review the fan is great, works great, mist is great..... The battery and charger junk! Great product to keep my flag football team cool in Arizona.

It works great! I also bought a bigger battery. I ran it on high fan and low mist for 4.5 hours today and it still had 1 bar left on the battery. I ran it for about 2 hours on the stock battery. It does produce a heavy mist and expect stuff close to get wet. Not sure the high pump setting would every be needed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
