THE WATERPUMP LOOKED LIKE THE ORIGINAL. WENT TO INSTALL IT, THE ORING THAT SEALS IT TO THE BLOCK WAS TOO BIG. HAD TO FIND ANOTHER ORING THAT WOULD FIT PROPERLY. AFTER GETTING IT INSTALLED IT IMMEDIATELY STARTING LEAKING COOLANT WHILE FILLING THE COOLING SYSTEM. HAD TO PULL EVERYTHING BACK APART. FOUND THAT WHEN THEY WERE ASSEMBILING THE PUMP, THE ORING SEAL FOR THE COVER WASN'T SEATED CORRECTLY AN WAS CRUSHED. HAD TO REUSE THE OLD ORING FROM OLD PUMP. Was very happy to find a company that makes these water pumps
Probably like most people who have ordered this water pump, Polaris no longer makes these, which only leaves very limited options. The bearings on my wife's sleds water pump(98 polaris xlt classic)pulley went out, who knows how long ago, as we just recently purchased this sled. When I was checking the water pump, I was able to wiggle the pulley side to side and up and down, with the belt still being on, at which point I could see coolant coming out.The new water pump was delivered today and I gotta say, it feels better built than the oem one that I took off. It installed really easily(other than trying to get the belt on at the same time), thankfully. Tomorrow I'm going to put it all back together, use my chain hoist to lift the front end a foot or so off the ground and burp the cooling system, after I fill both the overflow container to cold max and fill the filler neck back up as well. Hopefully the new water pump and burping it will solve the running hot/overheating issues we've been having.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
