This is exactly what I wanted. Plus, testers usually are a tint more intense than the boxed perfume. And at a lower price. What else could you wish for? I could tell it was not used. The first time you want to apply perfume, you have to hit the pump like 2 times before it sprays. That's the marker telling you it was not used before. The best Calvin Klein release in 20 years!
Creamy, salty, gentle sandalwood. I recently heard a perfumer/chemist explain that she uses salty notes sparingly to “add volume” to a fragrance. I really liked that. Usually the marketing of perfumes with a salt note includes references of summer, the ocean, briny things, oysters or most often just smelling like bilge! Not the case at all with this one. It really adds volume to an already beautiful, soft vanilla sandalwood. Such a pity it’s discontinued! I’m glad I bought the largest bottle. Longevity is phenomenal as well. Spicy melon
Many perfumes don't mix well with my skin chemistry and smell strange on me. This perfume smells the same on my skin as it does in the bottle and has great staying power. To me, the top notes smell like melon and it dries down spicy and warm. It's a little unique in the mainstream perfume world and probably not for everyone. It's hard to choose perfumes without smelling them. I prefer incense, musky, woodsy or spicy smells over very bright florals, fruits or citrus.
