I am a former track racer and still ride fixed-gear a lot on the road - and have used everything from the most expensive Japanese Racing chains to cheap bmx chains. These chains are somewhat expensive, but are durable and they run quiet and smooth due to the bushing construction. (I also like the quick link connector). While I do not have scientific data to back this up, with chain wax and these chains, the drive system seems much more efficient and quiet.
