Polycom's RealPresence Group Series 500 codec is very reliable. It provides HD video using less bandwidth than any major competitor. Only issue is that the outer case is delicate and scratches very easily, even rough hands leave scratches. It works with the EagleEye III and IV cameras which are also both very reliable with great video. A single microphone array has 3 mics which will outperform Cisco's single element tabletop mics and work in rooms up to 25 x 25. Multiple mic arrays can be used in larger rooms. The Polycom ceiling microphone array is perfect keeping the conference table clear and for making the meeting more natural feeling. When comparing this solution verses any PC-based option, especially a Microsoft Teams or Zoom PC solution, it is like comparing a bicycle to a BMW. The Group 500 meeting quality is professional while the PC-based solutions are better for college kids on a low budget.
