  • Plant Strong for life!

    I had heard about Rip Esselstyn in a documentary I watched on Netflix. I was very interested to check out the plant-strong way of eating as I had just been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes recently and didn't tolerate the medication very well because of side effects. I also have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity and all the issues that come from the typical "Western Diet". So I purchased 2 of his books and begged my doctor to give me 3 months to change my eating habits and lifestyle so see if I could stay off the medication. This was in March of 2016. It is now December 2016 and I have managed to lower my A1C, cholesterol, stopped the cholesterol, diabetic and reflux medication and 30 lbs light to boot!!! I have never felt better! And there's no turning back. The facts are there, in the book, along with food and recipes to make. Simple, but it was hard work to get off the "Western Diet". I would recommend this book for anyone wanting to improve their eating habits.

    I read his first book Engine 2 diet and both are great. I was a diabetic but after a few months of going vegan I was off insulin after being on it for 1 1/2 yrs and I am no longer considered a diabetic. I won't ever go back! Plus I have more energy.
