PERFECT REPLACEMENT
Honda dealers (Acura dealers) deny that this item has failed. But the OEM part sure did! Cold weather exacerbates its sticking shut. The replacement works perfectly, and is so easy to replace and so much cheaper than letting the dealer first analyze then charge a bunch for the part. What happens is the original valve sticks shut. It holds vacuum for your power brakes. When you are pulling out from your house, you will have brakes at the start, as you use up the remaining vacuum held overnight by this stuck shut valve. But then you cruise down the road, unaware that the valve is still stuck shut, and engine vacuum is not replenishing the brake diaphragm with more vacuum. What happens next is disaster! My grand daughter had a slow-speed crash into two other cars, trying to stop. I have replaced the valve, and the brakes work perfectly again. We are awaiting insurance claims from the crashes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
