Best mouse trap for those who don' want to see the crime scene. I live in the country so mice is the norm. You just have to keep up with them. One year I caught 38 with 2 of these. I just wish that d-con would make the hooks that set the trap a wee bit stronger They wore out first. But I still don't buy any other. My husband buys the flat wooden kind for the attic. These traps are all plastic . Even the triggering mechanism (which breaks when you try to set it) like most of these current type plastic traps they are selling now. Still have a set of the old style from years ago which have a metal mechanism and are still working fine. traps last once or twice if you're lucky every now and then last 3 or 4 time you can get out of them so the price should be a little cheaper
