Good quality at a low price.
This isn't the first time I've used semi-metallic pads. The metal is copper strands. They'll last longer than the non-metallic pads which had a tendency to wear unevenly. Another reason is that the stock OEM pads are almost $100 for two pads which I feel is over-priced. So for the two front brake calipers it would cost nearly $200.
