works great . great Barnett coil spring conversion kit for road star, install is pretty simple. USE IN. POUND torque wrench not foot lb. converted or break posts (according to the stories I read from others. Clutch feels stronger, Pull is a little harder, but not bad. no slipping. clutch release point on lever is better too. Scraping off the old gasket is probably the hardest part of the install

Questionable correct part
Have no problem with quality,but having problems with it working properly. Intalled it twice and it fails to work. Ive followed instructions from youtube video and written instructions online. I checked model numbers on barretts web site and was told this was not the right part for my bike while several other sites said it was the right part...so im not gonna to install it for the 3rd time till thats settled.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

must do mod for yamaha motorcycles. get rid of the stock spring washer.
fixed the slipping problems under heavy acceleration. Factory yamaha spring washer was untempered even after replacing clutches it slipped very bad over 1/4 throttle. i recommend this i got it for like 120 vice 140. whole different motorcyle. 2001 Yamaha road-star silverado 1600. the speedo just climbs and climbs better clutch handle feel and more torque to the ground. Just by this and send it. You will not be sorry. Its a shame you cant see the nice color it behind the clutch cover. The springs are just fine dont need to buy extra heavy duty ones. This modification replaces the stock spring washer with the proper clutch plate and heavy duty springs. just bought a 1999 yamaha royal star venture with 9k miles and the clutch slips bad have a barnett on the way i think its the same one. Will be doing clutches and this mod very soon. This bike also slips at 1/4 throttle.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Awesome addition to this bike
Easy install, fixes the weak clutch problem on these Yamaha bikes. No more revving on uphills or throttling through traffic. I installed the clutch also but really do not think my bike needed it as the clutch that took out looked great.
